I own a small company and have been up and running for over 6 months now. I am in the process of being incorporated, however need to build my staff up in order to support the expenses, i.e. corporate ins. etc. that come along with having that protection. However the hiring process is very expensive and time consuming. I need to pay someone to man the phones and organize interviews. I hire all over the U.S. and placing lenghty ads in area papers for a week or more is extremely costly. During my company's training program, I provide a small amount of financial support for my new trainees, as they are required to do extensive traveling. I do this for 2 weeks until they are finished with the program. Though I have successfully hired a handfull of people, due to the extreme cost of placing ads to hire on a continual basis, or as I have space available, I cannot get a sturdy foundation established to allow room for high turnover. I started from the ground up with very little financial assistance from anyone let alone myself. I have 15 yrs. exp in the industry, so my knowledge is not of concern, however, I find that no matter how well I run my crew, money is the constant issue, and though I'm doing ok alone, I don't want to wait 5 years to establish the basics, when I could be expanding and growing by then.
