Need help to get my business off the ground.

Dan started this conversation

I own a small company and have been up and running for over 6 months now.  I am in the process of being incorporated, however need to build my staff up in order to support the expenses, i.e. corporate ins. etc. that come along with having that protection.  However the hiring process is very expensive and time consuming.  I need to pay someone to man the phones and organize interviews.  I hire all over the U.S. and placing lenghty ads in area papers for a week or more is extremely costly.  During my company's training program, I provide a small amount of financial support for my new trainees, as they are required to do extensive traveling.  I do this for 2 weeks until they are finished with the program.  Though I have successfully hired a handfull of people, due to the extreme cost of placing ads to hire on a continual basis, or as I have space available, I cannot get a sturdy foundation established to allow room for high turnover.  I started from the ground up with very little financial assistance from anyone let alone myself.  I have 15 yrs. exp in the industry, so my knowledge is not of concern, however, I find that no matter how well I run my crew, money is the constant issue, and though I'm doing ok alone, I don't want to wait 5 years to establish the basics, when I could be expanding and growing by then.

in response to Cherry Galaskar...   Hi Cherry,That was a great tip!I liked Kantabiz.com.. and have begun making a video to add to that site. I think, this could help me. Like Dan, I too am struggling to pay wages and bills and lots of other stuff for my florists business here in Dakota US. And would appreciate, if I could show my work in Video to my clients etc. So on the whole, kantabiz.com was a nice and helpful addition to my small advertising needs. Bye and goodluck to our friend Dan too.

Mate.. try Kantabiz.com

Not only can it help you advertise but also allows many people to see your whole business video so that they can help you further your business and shed some light onto it. I added my business on Kantabiz.com and had 18 replies and enquiries from that sight within the week. Hope this helps you mate, cause looks like you deserve a break mate. cheers and goodluck.
